The Smartdesk has a centre of gravity that rises on the same vertical line during the whole movement for complete stability, achieved by using twin gas lift struts as opposed to inferior competitor models using spring designs that necessitate the desk swinging forward, potentially making it unstable.

We offer FREE DELIVERY New Zealand wide on all our products. If an item is in stock, it will be delivered via courier to you typically between 2-5 days. Some regional and harder to reach areas may take a few days more.

When you place your order you will receive a confirmation email and you will be contacted by our delivery providers to make delivery arrangements and will be provided with a tracking number to monitor your delivery.

If for some reason you missed the delivery, the courier will leave a card to notify you of the missed delivery and you can then contact the courier to arrange delivery for a day that suits you.

    I can’t recommend SmartMotion highly enough. I bought the SmartDesk after trialling it at the Work Expo 2.0 and I got a call few days later from Marc @ Smartmotion advising me that there was a stock issue with my order. He offered me a similar product and delivered it to me personally that same day, if that’s not a great customer service I don’t know what is. It’s been over week since I used the SmartDesk and it has changed the way I work, now I can stand up and move around while working and typing on my computer (which is what I’m doing now). Highly recommended for anyone spending more than 8 hrs a day sitting in front of a computer.

How easy is the Smartdesk to set up?

The Smartdesk’s advanced design means that it comes 99% fully assembled in a box. Only the keyboard/mouse tray needs to be attached to the Smartdesk and this takes less than 5 minutes. Once this step is done, we recommend that you have someone help you lift the Smartdesk onto the desktop. Once it’s on your desk, just place your equipment on top and you’re all set to go!

How is the Smartdesk attached to an existing desk?

The great design of the Smartdesk means that it simply goes on top of your existing desk - no tools are required.

How many monitors is the Smartdesk designed to hold?

The Smartdesk can accommodate two monitors. It’s centre of gravity rises up on a vertical line which means that your equipment stays completely stable. 

How suitable is the Smartdesk for shorter and taller users?

The Smartdesk is suitable for a wide variety of users given its ability to effortlessly extend from a minimum of 15 cm to a maximum of 50 cm with 15 different positions available in between these 2 heights. Uses of extendable height monitors should ensure a comfortable viewing angle is available for all users. 

Is it difficult to raise and lower the Smartdesk with my computer and monitors on top?

The advanced twin gas lift struts mean that raising and lowering the Smartdesk is effortless. There is a lever on each side of the desk for easy control. The Smartdesk is capable of handling weights up to 15kg with ease.

Can I adjust the keyboard deck of the Smartdesk?

The keyboard deck is fixed, however it does move up and down as the main unit does. The choice of 15 positions from the lowest setting to the highest setting means that you are sure to find the optimum setting that works for you.

Can I remove the keyboard deck of the Smartdesk?

If you don’t need the keyboard deck of the Smartdesk, it is easily removable by undoing the 4 butterfly clips which takes less than a minute. This can be easily reattached at any time.

What’s the minimum footprint that my existing desk or worktop needs to be to fit the Smartdesk?

The Smartdesk can be placed on a surface that has a minimum width of 89cm and a minimum depth of 58cm. So it will fit the vast majority of desks.

Does the Smartdesk need to be cleaned using special cloths?

No special equipment is required. A damp cloth is sufficient to clean the Smartdesk.
